6th February 2015, KUALA LUMPUR – OPPO Malaysia is introducing OPPO R5 new member -Limited Edition Gilded OPPO R5. This limited edition is scheduled to be available mid of February 2015 in conjunction with Valentine’s Day. OPPO Malaysia Headquarter announced to have 2,800 units of Limited Edition Gilded R5 in Malaysia. The internationally hot-selling ultra-thin phone, the OPPO R5, which hit Malaysia market since December is having high demands and expectations of new variant of R5.

The new Gilded R5 will keep the R5’s ergonomic and durable ultra-thin stainless steel frame as well as OPPO’s VOOC flash charge technology. According to OPPO, the Gilded R5 boasts an all-new distinctive gilded color created by OPPO and their supplying partner. The gilded color is brighter overall but is slightly lower-keyed and reserved compared to other gilded colors available in the market. The unique gilded color required more stringent processing than the silver variant of the R5.

“We haven’t got the chance to celebrate Valentine’s Day last year as we just entered Malaysia. Valentine's Day this year is bound to have this lovely offer with the limited edition due to our enthusiastic consumers that we made this decision to make this demand become a reality. It will be selling at the price of RM 1,798 at selected OPPO stores. In addition to this celebration, it shall come with Screen Damage Insurance, which enables consumers to enjoy 1-year mobile phone screen damage protection. Screen Damage Insurance’s terms & conditions:
Items purchased with insurance are only applicable after activation on the day of purchase (within 24 hours). Insurance card must be activated from the day of purchase and ends a year later (eg. 20/1/2015 – 19/1/2016). During warranty period, users will be required to show their insurance card and our service center crew will replace the defected screen with a new screen for free and for Once.
